Harvest is over...

YAYYYYY!!!  It's true!  Harvest has been over for nearly a week now!  Phillip has been around more and we're working back into a routine of the 4 of us (Sneebie included of course).  I'm not going to lie... I won't be upset when he gets to be a big boy and work in one of the big offices where he doesn't have to do all of the dirty work anymore.  Though, I'm guessing, if given the chance, he'll want to help out as much as he can when that time comes around.

So... since my last post, so much has happened.  Callie has completed her first class... Swimming lessons! Her and I took a "mommy and me" swim class at the local water park in town, it was every day for two weeks and she went from being a total spider monkey (clinging to me in the water) to being dunked under the water and jumping off of the side of the pool to me!  We had a great time and I'm so glad I signed us up for those lessons!  Callie got to wear a different swimming suit everyday (between her baby shower and her birthday she has so many!) and I got to meet some new mommy friends, too... it was so fun!

I also started a "diet"... the Body by Vi diet, I really just wanted to lose about 10 pounds or so.  My sister Stefanie is living with me this summer (she's taking summer classes through K-State Salina and being an amazing helping hand!) and we thought we would try this, after having heard such GREAT things about it... we'll I'm nearly through my first month... and I haven't lost one single pound and the shakes taste terrible.  It's supposed to be a 90 day challenge where you replace two meals a day with these shakes.  I didn't think this would be too difficult considering I don't usually eat that great during the daytime anyways and still need to make dinner for Phillip and Callie.  Well... I'm discouraged (not to mention I'm really missing eating food!)and am dropping out after this first month.  I suppose it might work for some people... but it's not for me.  I'm just going to try eating well and exercise for a while.

One of the most popular questions we've been getting lately is "so, when are you thinking about having another one?"  Referring to having another baby... and just to answer everyone's question... I'm currently on a medication that is not compatible with pregnancy (it's a long -icky- story, but basically I got icky toenails from getting pedicures done... a few of my friends also had this happen, I think it happened at the same time and place, but the medication is clearing it all up!).  I will take the last dose of medication at the end of this month... once that is finished, our personal Pharmacist, Adam Engel (son of Curt Engel -- who works with Phillip for the Scoular Company) recommended I wait 3 months for the medication to work it's way totally out of my body.  However... that would put me possibly getting pregnant in September and due in June (does anyone else see the problem here?)  That would have us due in the middle of Harvest :(  So we'll probably just wait until the beginning of 2013 to start really thinking seriously about anything.  That would make Callie about 2 1/2 when she would be a big sister... I think that would be ok!

A couple of weeks ago, during harvest, Uncle Dalton came to stay with Stef and I... and we spent an afternoon at the Country Club pool... it's wonderful to have that membership because with the new waterpark in town, the Country Club pool is rarely busy... so it's like our own personal pool!  Here are some photos from that trip... Callie LOVED it... and aside from the one other kid that purposefully was mean to Callie (that I promptly scolded) we just had a great time! Here are some photos from that pool trip.

Here's my "Tiny" in her little Ruffle-Butt Two-Piece at our Private Pool!... she's SOOO cute!

Swim-mum with her Mama!!!  Going down the swan-slide!  This was SO fun!

She would giggle and squeal the moment we started going down the slide and was so proud of herself once she made it to the bottom... it was so adorable!

Pictures from a "photo-booth" at my friend Andrea Wagle's wedding that Phillip and I went to on Friday, June 15th.  We ended up hanging out with my pediatrician growing up, Dr. Larry Hund for a while at this wedding!  It was a blast, and so nice to be able to have my 32 year old husband there for a date!

Oh yeah... ANNNNDDD... Phillip turned 32 on June 13th!  Here's a few photos from the "low-key" party he requested.

My "fail" birthday cake... it was supposed to be a white Texas Sheet cake... it tasted like a big sugar cookie!  It didn't look great... but it tasted delicious!  I was too embarrassed for him to take it to work looking like this, though.

  1. Fun pictures! Tell Callie to bring her swimsuits to Cheyenne. We have a little slide to try out also.
