So our family photos may not turn out as fabulous as I had previously hoped... a cranky over-worked husband, plus a super curious-about-the-wheat dog, multiplied by a baby that starts the photo shoot by falling on a dirt road and hitting her mouth on a rock equalling a bloody lip... all equals a tiny disaster. So as I continued putting out small fires (I'm nearly convinced the photographer won't plan on volunteering to drive up to Salina for a photo shoot any time soon)... I prayer-fully hoped that we would get a decent family photo. The photographer kept saying "we're just making memories here"...
So, as I await the results of those images (some of you may have already seen the one she posted of Callie on facebook)... I took a few wheat photos myself tonight... with the help of my amazing summer assistant, Stefanie. Here are a few of those photos:
I love my little walking toddler... but getting her to sit for, even a second, is nearly impossible... but here she sits, in her favorite new chair... for a tiny moment...
No smile, of course, that would be asking too much, but... both of my babies, sitting still for another split second (long enough for my camera to capture it!)... I love them to pieces!
Ah yes, the portrait sitting that doesn't go quite as planned. I had a friend whose photos of a bride and groom included a wedding cake that was in the process of toppling in the background.
