An American Photo Shoot

Tonight... after having spent the afternoon at Kenwood Cove (Salina's new water park)... we had a photo shoot... just in time for the July 4th Holiday.  Here are a few of my favorites... it never seems to me that I get the "perfect" shot... but they almost all turn out adorable anyways...

My American babies... I love these two to pieces... (even though it's nearly impossible to get them to both look at me at the same time... especially if that Daddy of theirs is anywhere around :)

God Bless America... love, Callie Faith

Yep... it's my little Miss Cutie (Callie) on the run... I'm going to need a much faster shutter speed (on my camera) to get my little runner in focus from now on!  She looks like she is on such a misson here!

Who... me?  Oh she's such a baby to me!
(and yes, to anyone that recognizes the chair... that was my little rocking chair from when I was Callie's age!)

These are photos from our slip-n-slide day, on Saturday afternoon.  Daddy had just mowed the grass... and it was extra warm out... so we decided to get a little wet!

Daddy pushing Callie along the slip-n-slide
(Thanks mother, for the slip-n-slide for Phillip's 30th birthday... it's sat in the garage for a couple of years... but we had a blast with it!)

The buckets had water balloons in them... and we had a balloon fight too!

Daddy wanted a turn too!
He's got quite a harvest tan!

At Kenwood Cove... it was EXTRA busy!!!

Just going down the slide... it was SOOO fun!
(mommy was trying to ignore the murky-ness of the water and the ick-factor associated with it... too many germ lessons through Microbiology and Nursing school :)

Love and Kisses to all!

  1. Fun pictures, but the nitpicker in me makes me remark that the flag is displayed backwards - the star field should always be in the upper left, whether the flag is hung horizontally or vertically. I can be such a perfectionist.

    1. Oh how interesting (and a little embarrassing!)!!! I should have researched it! I just kind of looked at the flag... and one side looked more like the "finished" side... while the other had all of the seams on it. It was really random... but that was my rationale for placement... I will certainly not make that mistake again! I ALWAYS appreciate your input!

  2. I LOVE the pictures!! You always have such cute photo ideas! I hope you don't mind if I steal them, although the fourth of july is over so maybe the next one :)
