"mmm-hmmm"

It seems to only have been in a blink of an eye... but I look at my baby... and with the exception of her sweet chubby cheeks... she's not a baby anymore.  Of course, she still lets me treat her like one, most of the time.  She lets me rock her to sleep... and wrap her up in her pink blankey while she suckles on her paci and snuggles her "duck-duck".  But she's growing up.  Her vocabulary is incredible!  Of course... it's mostly me that can understand exactly what she's saying, with Phillip often turning to me asking "what does she want?"  So I thought I would post some of her most prominent words thus far... as she says them, how they are pronounced, and what they actually mean:

"bubs" -- BUUUBs -- Brother Sneebie
"Ceee" -- C -- Pacifier
"lalalala" -- La La La La -- Lunch (or usually whatever meal)
"Ba" -- Baaaahhh -- Bottle (or milk)
"icccce" -- Ice -- Eyes (usually accompanied by poking you in the eyes :)
"duice" -- (like Juice without the J) -- Juice... or anything to drink, she's just thirsty
"Booooe" -- Beau -- Book, her wants to be read to!
"Baawwhhh"-- Bawl -- Ball!!!  Sister loves her some Ball!
"Abbu" -- A-boo -- an Apple (she's eat nearly a whole one!)
"Canneee" --  Can Knee -- Candy!
"iou" -- I owe you -- I love you!  So sweet!
"oww" -- oooooo -- NO!

I love that she talks now... we have so much to talk about... and her sweetest new word/noise is "mmm-hmmm!"  She does it in a slightly higher pitched sweet little nasal breath... if she wants something.  I just love it, she started that yesterday.  We've been having so much fun together lately, going for jogs and to the park almost every day, and when we're at home, we've been getting ready for the big garage sale that's happening this week in Derby.

Callie and I will be in Derby Tuesday evening through next Monday doing the Annual Urso Garage Sale and then I work all weekend.  So if you'd like to stop by and shop through our great things, or just wanna hang out with us... feel free to come by!  It will be at my mothers house in Derby, 1648 Tiara Pines Place.  Hope to see you there!

This is "us"... minus Sneebert of course... Phillip was in Manhattan, KS for the day doing interviews at a career fair at K-State... So Callie and I went to visit Auntie Pup (Stefanie) and we all went to dinner in Aggieville.  It was super fun!

Auntie Em came to visit on her drive through from Loveland, Colorado to Charlotte, North Carolina... it was fun to go out to dinner and to watch Barney with her and enjoy a bottle before bedtime!!!  It's hard to believe she'll be moving so far away... but we know God has big plans for her!  We already can't wait to see her at Christmas time!

*****SPEAKING OF CHRISTMAS******
Our plans this year will be to celebrate Christmas in Cheyenne with Phillip's family.  Our plans thus far include being in Cheyenne from December 23rd-December 29th (the traveling days both to and from Cheyenne aren't exactly set in stone... but we know we'll at least be there from those dates).

So for my family... maybe we'll hafta decide on a time either before or after those dates to celebrate together.  It's a little sad (ok.. a lot sad... I love you all so much!) to not spend Christmas with my family... but it will be so fun to watch Callie and her cousin Maverick celebrate together (plus... the Van Court's are pretty great people to celebrate with too!).

The beautiful sunflower bouquet that Auntie Em brought us!  She's such a sweetie!
