Oh, Hello 3rd Trimester!

We've got 10 weeks to go until we meet our little man... and still SOOO much to do!  We haven't chosen a name yet (shocking, I realize this!) and haven't yet started a nursery!  I suppose two married procrastinators could be the easiest explanation for why nothing is done.  Oh well... there's still time :) (and if there isn't, then that's what family is for, right?)

So I feel enormous this time... (I'm certain most pregnant women do) and after a routine 28 week Ultrasound... I now know why... Phillip's son is HUGE!  His head alone measured in the 96% (keep in mind that an average sized head would be 50%)... so while I'm grateful he is a healthy growing boy... I'm also quite happy that he is not my first baby!  Phillip weighed in at 7 lbs 11 oz 3 weeks early... so who knows what we're in for with this big guy!

Along with our routine Ultrasound, we had a 4D Ultrasound done... which was simply AMAZING!  We got to see exactly what our little man looks like!  And it's incredible how much the technology has changed in just 2 1/2 years (since Callie's 3D ultrasound).  Some of you on the mass texting list received the images by phone... but I'll post a couple here too!

In other good news, I am much healthier with this pregnancy, too.  After having lab work done, my blood sugar results came back within normal range and I'm not anemic (as I was with Callie) and I'm gaining weight appropriately (as evidenced by my huge tummy and the frequent comments and looks of awe from strangers when I tell them I still have 2 months to go).  Callie will just forever be our Bitty Baby... and now we're about to experience a Tank of a child.

Little Man Van Court... 28 weeks Gestation... snoozing with his eyes closed... the uneven surface of his face is just a result of the amniotic fluid around him.

After several responses... he has the nose and lips of his big sister Callie (my mother and Auntie Stef) and the chin of his father (Grammie Lou).

One of our first baby gifts... from the Graber's!!!  Mandi got a new toy (an embroidery machine) and made us the ADORABLE weenie dog burp cloth and bib... and also made us receiving blankets with matching burp clothes!  In none other than Batman (who Callie thinks is totally awesome) and Superman material (Phillip's TRUE favorite super hero).  Thank you Mandi... because of you, and Auntie Erin... perhaps this little man won't be clothed in all pink, after all!

And a very special thank you to Auntie Erin for sharing all of Mav's baby clothes with us!!!  Because of her... we literally need nothing to clothe a boy!  Please excuse the garbage bags... she had them so neatly organized into plastic tubs... but in order to get it all back to Salina, along with everything we had already taken to Cheyenne it was the only way to make it all fit in the back of the trusty ol Ravy!

And yes everyone... it's officially... Bitty has her "Big Girl Bed"... if you haven't already gotten to hear all about it!  She's quite proud and LOVES that it's Green (her very favorite color!).  Daddy even recently finished the trundle bed portion... so now it's all ready for her first sleepover with Auntie Pup in a couple of weeks!

(My baby looks so tiny in her Big bed!)

And a sad day for us... the last Post/Van Court playdate.  Some of you may know that Seth Post (one of Phillip's groomsmen) had been running the Minneapolis, Kansas Scoular elevator... but had an opportunity that he couldn't pass up come along, so now he'll be running a brand new "shuttle loading" elevator out of Falls City, Nebraska.  The two little babies got along so well and had so much fun together... we're hoping to be able to meet up with them a couple of times throughout this fall when they're in Manhattan cheering on the Wildcat's for football games.  One of our favorite things to do is to wear all KU apparel when playing... and getting Baby Alex to sport it too :)

Neither of us probably would've stayed around Salina forever... it would have been inevitable that one of us would have had to move... I just wish we could have had longer together!  I'll miss having the babies play together!

And I'll share just a couple more photos today... it's rare that we get a photo with all 3 of us in it... but we got one!  It was on our Chicago trip to visit the McCann's... we spent a Saturday afternoon at a Children's Museum where I'm not sure if Daddy or Callie had more fun!

Love, Kisses, Licks and (much stronger!) baby Kicks!
