Oh yes... that furry red monster. Most adults without a child under the age of 3 can't stand the character... I know, because I was one of them. I SWORE I would NEVER let my child watch him. Hahaha... Never say never as a parent... right?
He goes by Elmo, and Phillip and I can both sing, from memory, verbatim, his original Elmo's world song and the Elmo the musical lyrics... and yes, our sweet 21 month old is OBSESSED with her beloved "Mo". We don't watch a lot of TV in our house, Elmo in the morning when she wakes up (she's not really a morning person), Barney (yes, the purple dinosaur) with her bedtime bottle (yeah... I still give my baby a bottle... so what? She drinks more milk in one bedtime bottle than she would consume in an entire week... and it's not a battle I'm willing to fight with my teeny tiny baby, go ahead, judge away ;) and of course, at her Gee's (this is the name she has given to Grams Urso) house, she gets to watch Winnie the Pooh. So the presence of Elmo in our lives is fairly significant. And, it turns out, for us, he's actually one of the least obnoxious child characters and is very educational.
So, her Gee, always looking out for her baby, purchased tickets the moment Sesame Street Live tickets went on sale in Wichita for her, Callie, myself and Phillip to enjoy. And last Saturday... we certainly did enjoy the show! My little "stranger danger" baby sat right in the arms of Elmo (though slightly in a daze) and had her photo taken. Listening to her yell out the characters names that went by and hollering "Yayyyyyy!!!" when her Elmo finished a song or came by and patted her on the head just made every penny of those tickets SOOO worth it! We had a great time... and poor bitty was so SOO exhausted that she didn't even wake up until 10 am the next morning! Her partied too hard with "Mo"!
With all of that said... you understand now how much she loves her "Mo" and with that... I knew that I needed to do an Elmo photo shoot... here's our favorite:

This is her 21 month photo... which means, in just 3 short months... my tiny baby will be 2!!!! I can't even believe it! Time has certainly flown by! But I've already nailed down a date and theme for her party!
The party with be on Saturday, April 27th, 2013 probably around noon. And the theme will be Soccer Ball playing Elmo... her two favorites!
I do have more Sesame Street Live photos to share... they're just on my mothers camera... because mine was forbidden inside of the arena. So I hope to share those soon!
