The Official Invite!

Greetings everyone!
It's late here in Salina... but the little one (make that both of the little ones...) are snoozing away... Phillip is on business and I'm up, taking care of a few little things online, and trying to tell myself that the snake skin we found on our back patio does not indicate that there is a snake living near our house.  I've got a fear of those things that gives me terrible nightmares... and from a few, ahem, childhood memories of snakes getting into the basement, I'm trying to talk myself down and know that they're outside... I'm inside, I'm big... they're little... ick, it still sends chills down my spine.

Anyhow... this post is supposed to be an official invitation (the formal paper invitation you should expect to see in your mailbox no later than early next week) to Miss Callie Faith's first birthday party.  It will be an event not to miss!

After much deliberation... we (I) have chosen a super pinkalicious theme (shocking, I know).  The other choices were Monkey/Jungle theme (the girl loves her some monkeys! {insert monkey sound here}) or Ladybugs (truly... I've read the 10 little ladybug book at least 300 times thus far).  But the deciding factor was simply that... we have too much pink to not use it as our theme.  Plus... if her father gets his way... her next birthday party will be Corvette themed.

The party will be held at our home in Salina... and anyone who would like to stay and party overnight (or wants to stay over the night before) is more than welcome to!  We will plan to have plenty of food, including pizza (baby girl loves her pizza, too!) and delicious beverages, so come hungry!

Mark your calendars from 1 pm to 3 pm as the official party time (as not to interrupt the Princess' beauty sleeping times).

And I'll forewarn everyone that little Callie has developed into the "stranger danger" phase... so please don't be offended if she won't willingly jump into your arms... she just isn't quite sure of anyone except for Mommy, Daddy and Brother of course.

Thanks everyone!  We can't wait to celebrate with you!  We're not sure where the last year has gone... but we couldn't be more in love with our little Callie-bug!
