Accommodations fit for a Princess...

I'm beginning to think that Phillip is in his nesting phase already.  He has repainted downstairs, our guest bathroom and just two weeks ago, started on the Nugget's room.  He is so handy, it seems there's nothing he can't do, from carpentry and plumbing to electrical, he's got it covered.  Scoular is lucky they have him... so am I :)

Perhaps one of his most accomplished tasks thus far is that he can paint a perfectly straight line without using any painters tape at all (thank you Andy McCann for the painting lessons!).  My guess is that this perfectionism must come from the artistic Van Court side.

I actually captured a video of him painting the room and was just about to post it to the blog, when I was reviewing it and realized that he slipped and said the Nugget's potential name in the video.  So just a photo will have to do for now of him painting the room, though I want to try to video a bit more frequently... home videos might be some of my very most favorite things to watch.

For anyone who may be curious, we do have our name list narrowed down to our favorite top 5 names.  You can of course vote for which is your favorite, but we will probably have a little Nugget with one of these names here in about 12 weeks.

Camille Van Court- nickname "Cami"
Isabella Van Court - nickname "Izzy"
Caroline Van Court - nickname "Callie"
Sophia Van Court - nickname "Sophie"
Faith Van Court - nickname ... ?? :)

In addition to her newly painted room... is her newly re-vamped bassinet and crib!  My Gremom and Poppa Cornelson have been working so tirelessly on... we are soooo blessed and will never be able to truly thank them for everything they've done for us.  The Bassinet is quite possibly the most beautiful bassinet I've ever seen, it has a white eyelet lace skirt on it that just makes it so sweet.  The crib is just in perfect condition and is absolutely worth the $1,000 + they would charge to purchase it brand new.  It sounds like the plan for delivery of the two pieces will be just in time for the shower, so I can't wait to have them on display!  A thousand thank yous will never be enough... love you Gremom and Poppa!

I think this one was supposed to be a video, but I was never able to get it to play.  I just wanted to make certain that Poppa got credit for his hard work too!

The finished bassinet, filled with Gremom's Giraffe collection... how appropriate!  This one will make it in the baby book for certain!

The masterpieces and the amazing people that created them!
thank you thank you thank you!

Love and Kisses... and a couple of licks too from the little brown dog...

  1. The crib and bassinet are adorable, well done!
This grandma to be thinks all the names are lovely.
Nicknames have a way or morphing though. I was Lulie, Lou Ann, Lu lu, Luden, wheezie, Louie and Lou at various times in my life. Ha.
