Nearly a month has passed since my last entry... it's amazing how time flies! Of course I am so apologetic for not having kept up on the blog, Christmas shopping just took precedence... I'm sure the women out there will completely understand. :)
Soooooo... we had our BIG official sonogram on December the 3rd that did in fact reveal that we will be expecting the arrival of our little GIRL princess sometime in April. This confirmed what 5 physicians had previously assumed (via other ultrasounds), so I don't think we will be having any surprises for delivery.
Over the course of the last month, the halfway mark, 20 weeks, has come and passed, and while I may not have written, we did capture the 20 week tummy photo. It's amazing how quickly the tummy has snuck up on me now!
By the way, for any other woman that's ever been pregnant, did you realize that the actual pregnancy is 10 months? Not 9? Phillip, the numbers man he is, was showing me how it all works out, and ends up being exactly 10 months from beginning to end. I think the first 20 weeks are probably the most boring part of the whole pregnancy, so I'm excited for what the next 17-20 weeks hold :)
Our strong little lady has officially kicked her father and Great Grandmother Cornelson, it's so fun to get to share the experience with everyone else... finally! It's sooo incredible to me how much stronger she gets everyday.
I'm hoping that by now, everyone has received their Christmas cards from us. I was so proud of the way they turned out! Phillip's dad, Steve, took that photo of us in a beautiful wheat field that was right in front of the Scoular Grain elevator that Phillip operates in Salina. Steve just did an amazing job capturing the whole feeling of Kansas right before harvest. Sneebie was "photo shopped" into the photo by myself, and I also added the "Scoular" to the grain elevator, so everyone would know that it was indeed Phillip's, and not just another random storage silo in Kansas. I also included on the back, a little tiny thumbnail photo of our sweet little girl all stretched out, looking like she's just laying there in a hammock.
We've been in Cheyenne for a day now, Phillip and Sneebie are snoozing on the couch, and I'm sitting at the kitchen table looking out the window at the tiny snow flurries... the Nugget's first snow! I just know this will be such a relaxing and revitalizing Christmas vacation for all of us... we're just happy to be here with family.
I now need to go update my pregnancy journal... it's just as far behind as the blog! But I will do my best to continue to update, it's amazing and humbling to me how many people are actually reading this, and how many of you have noticed my neglect towards the blog. Thank you for keeping an interest in this special miracle of a journey with us...
Happy Holidays and all of our love to you...
...until the next time... Smooches :)
